Demjanjuk lawyer questions witness credibility in Nazi trial

MUNICH  — The defense lawyer for alleged Nazi prison guard John Demjanjuk  questioned the credibility of a witness Thursday who testified that he thought Demjanjuk had lied about where he was during World War II.
Former US prosecutor Norman Moscowitz testified Wednesday that, during Demjanjuk's 1981 denaturalization trial, inconsistencies in his testimony "contributed to my sense he was not telling the truth."
But attorney Ulrich Busch told the court Thursday that Moscowitz was later chastised by a federal panel for failing to disclose exculpatory evidence in a timely fashion.
Moscowitz said that was not relevant to his Munich testimony.
