A diesel tank adjacent to a house exploded on Rehov Beit Hakerem in Jerusalem on Tuesday morning, setting a fire that damaged the house, but causing no casualties. According to an initial investigation, a truck transferring diesel into the tank accidentally hit an electric pole, which fell onto the tank, causing an explosion and the ensuing fire. Firefighting forces managed to subdue the blaze while the street was closed for traffic.
