An Egyptian citizen set himself on fire in front of the presidential headquarters in New Cairo due to disputes with an Egyptian electric company, Egyptian news source Al-Ahram and other media reported Saturday.
The security forces on the scene hurried to extinguish the flames and called an ambulance in order to have the man transported to the hospital for treatment.
It was reported that the Egyptian citizen, Arafa Kamel Khalil was fired from the electric company due to disputes with the head of the company, who declined to rehire the man despite a court order to do so.
