Agricultural organizations threatened to bring produce markets to a halt if the government does not respond to their demands to expand the number of foreign workers who are employed in the industry, Army Radio reported on Monday.

The growers told Army Radio that they are suffering from a sever shortage of workers and that if the situation continues, produce prices could increase by several hundred percent within a few weeks.
