Fire erupts at airport, causes departure delays, none hurt

A fire that broke out Wednesday overnight on a luggage conveyor belt at Ben Gurion Airport caused delays for departing travelers.

The Airport Authority said the disruptions were minor and the airport's automatic fire extinguishing systems quickly put out the flames.

The circumstances of the fire were being investigated.
