Fire network adds 30 new trucks, 124 new firefighters

The Israel Fire Rescue Network added 30 new fire trucks to its ranks purchased since the devastating Carmel fire, Israel Radio reported Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, 124 firefighters completed their training course and began their duty in fire prevention.

Some 200 firefighters joined the Fire Rescue Network in the last few months. The network is expected to recruit an additional 300 next year, according to Israel Radio.
