Fireman injured in Carmel blaze dies of his injuries

A fireman who was badly injured in the Carmel fire disaster died of his injuries on Saturday evening at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. 
Danny Hayat, 35, suffered severe burns and underwent two skin graft surgeries in the past two weeks. 
Hayat, who became the forty fourth victim of the blaze, was injured while trying to rescue the Prisons Service staff who had become trapped in their bus as they made their way towards the Damon prison near Kibbutz Bet Oren. 
He leaves behind two children, two brothers, and his parents.
