Fischer: Israeli economy would grow with peace

Israel has the potential to grow more than the five percent it grew between 2003 and 2008, if it makes peace with the Palestinians, Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer said Sunday.
Speaking at the annual Herzliya conference, Fischer noted that peace with other Middle East countries would also assist Israel's economy.
"If there is peace, we would get closer to growth of 6 and 7 percent," he said.
Foreign investment could also be improved by making peace agreements, Fischer noted.
