PARIS - A lawyer for French writer Tristane Banon said he filed a legal complaint on Tuesday alleging that former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn attempted to rape her in 2003.

Lawyer David Koubbi told Reuters at his office in Paris that the papers had been sent relating to an allegation by Banon, 32, that Strauss-Kahn tried to rape her while she was interviewing him in a Paris apartment.
