German gov't denies involvement in granting Brodsky bail

The German government on Monday dismissed any reports that it was involved in the decision to grant bail to suspected Mossad agent Uri Brodsky, according to a DPA report Monday.
A German foreign office spokesman said that the decision to release Brodsky, who is wanted for his alleged involvment in the killing of a Hamas leader in Dubai, occurred at the state level.
"That is why the federal government had no influence on the decision and is not commenting on it either," the spokesman said.
