Germany investigates man over Iranian nuclear ties

BERLIN — Prosecutors said on Saturday that the managing director of a German company has been investigated for attempting to ship a substance to Iran that could be a component of nuclear weapons.
Berlin prosecution spokesman Martin Steltner said the man was investigated for trying to ship tritium to Iran, in violation of German export laws.
Steltner did not elaborate, but said the investigation was concluded. He did not reveal the results of the investigation or say whether charges might now be filed.
