Germany lifts Yemen passenger flight ban

BERLIN — German authorities are again allowing passenger flights from Yemen but keeping in place a ban on cargo transports from the country that was put in place after a mail bomb plot was uncovered last month.

Germany's transportation ministry said Saturday that officials decided flights carrying only passengers and their belongings could land here again, after German authorities sent to Yemen to determined security measures there were satisfactory.
