A ministerial committee chaired by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu ruled Sunday to reduce the security detail for government ministers in order to save tens of millions of shekels.

The adopted changes were recommended by the National Security Council and will provide for security for ministers in the event that it is needed, as opposed to security details being assigned to ministers around the clock.
