A group of men wielding machine guns and wearing vests carrying explosives on their bodies stormed a government building in the eastern Afghanistan city of Khost on Sunday, the BBC quoted officials as saying.
Security forces arrived at the traffic police headquarters, surrounding the building and exchanging gunfire with at least three gunmen inside. Reports stated that the battle between security forces and the armed assailants was ongoing and between one and three people were killed in the incident.
