Police arrested two Arab-Israelis in Haifa on Tuesday suspecting their involvement in an assault on two off-duty soldiers near a hospital in the coastal city, bringing the total number of arrests to nine.
A Haifa judge extended the remands of six other suspects on Sunday, when the seventh suspect was also arrested.
The suspects are accused of attacking the soldiers, who were dressed in civilian garb, and brutally beating them with clubs and inflicting wounds with a sharp object.
