A senior Hamas official confirmed that a delegation from Gaza consulted Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Thursday concerning a potential deal to free captured IDF soldier St.-Sgt. Gilad Schalit, according to an Israel Radio report.
The report quoted Ziad a-Zaza, deputy prime minister in Gaza, as saying that Hamas was interested in completing the exchange as soon as possible.
Speaking to a Hamas-run publication, a-Zaza stated that progress was being made in the negotiations.
