Hariri calls for calm in Lebanon amidst tribunal tensions

Amidst tensions stemming from reports that the UN tribunal investigating the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri will indict members of Hizbullah, current prime minister Saad Hariri called for "calm speech" and "democratic dialogue" on Monday, AFP reported.

Saad Hariri, the son of the slain Rafik Hariri, said that he wanted to know who was responsible for the 2005 murder of his father, but that he also wanted stability for Lebanon.

"Dialogue cannot succeed with the accusations of treason and with repeated calls for tests of patriotism and nationalism," said the Lebanese prime minister.
