Head of the Org. of Holocaust Survivors, Noach Flug, dies

Noach Flug, chairman of the Organization of Holocaust Survivors in Israel, died on Thursday. He was 85 years old.
Born in Lodz, Poland in 1925, Flug survived Auschwitz, Gross-Rosen, Mauthausen and Ebense concentration camps as well as death marches.
He moved to Israel with his wife and daughters in 1958, where he worked as an economist and diplomat until he retired in 1987.
Besides his work at the Organization of Holocaust Surivors, Flug also served as President of the International Auschwitz Committee since 2002, and was on the board of Yad Vashem.
