BENGHAZI, Libya - A helicopter carrying voting material for Saturday's parliamentary elections in Libya made a forced landing outside the eastern town of Benghazi on Friday after being struck by anti-aircraft fire, a local official said.

Hamed Al-Hassi, head of the military council for the Cyrenaica region, said one person on board was wounded. The identity of the attackers was not immediately known, but the east of the country has been a focus of unrest by local groups seeking greater autonomy.
