The chairman of the Zionist Union, Isaac Herzog, answered Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a tweet Monday, irrevocably stating that he would not be joining the current government.

"Netanyahu, to answer your question from these past days to renew the coalition with the Zionist Union in your government, I want to clarify publicly what I told you verbally- the door is closed, the chapter is behind us," Herzog wrote. "You captivate the extreme and we are fighting that and you."
