High Court: Stenzler stays KKL head for now

The High Court ruled on Wednesday that Keren Kayemet Le'Israel/Jewish National Fund chairman Effi Stenzler can keep his post at least until a district ruling is expected next month. Agriculture Minister Shalom Simhon, who was elected to succeed Stenzler by the Reform/Labor Meretz faction in the Zionist Congress, asked the Court to remove an injunction that prevents Simhon from taking office. The Court rejected the request, which will prevent Simhon from getting elected by the KKL's governing council when it convenes later this month.
