Hod Hasharon resident convicted of rape

The Petah Tikva District Court on Thursday convicted Hod Hasharon resident Lior Kabara, 24, of raping an 18 year old girl three weeks ago at his friend's house. His friend who was present during the time of the rape, Moshe Mesilato, 25, was convicted of indecent behavior.

According to the indictment, the two men got the girl drunk after her friends left the home, and proceeded to exploit her intoxicated state in order to rape her.

Kabara allegedly covered the girl's mouth while taking advantage of her so she could not scream, and told her that the sexual act was consensual so that she wouldn't report the incident to the police.
