An IAF technician fell from a helicopter and broke his arm in a exercise in the south last week, the IDF said Sunday.

During a smuggling-prevention simulation, a chopper took off without the crew noticing the airborne technician had not yet made it into the craft, and was left hanging outside. According to  Army Radio, the helicopter rose to a height of two meters, at which point the technician fell, breaking his arm.

The crew was grounded until further notice.
