The IDC Herzliya’s radio station, IDC International Radio, joined some 700 college radio stations around the world that participated in World College Radio Day, held on Tuesday.

The event, held for the second consecutive year, aims to “raise a greater, international awareness of the many college and high school radio stations that operate around the world by encouraging people who would not normally listen to college radio to do so on this day,” as the website precises.

IDC International Radio, which was also chosen to broadcast live internationally for an hour on Tuesday, joins two other Israeli campus radio stations including Tel Aviv University’s Radio Soloud and the College of Management’s Kol HaCampus.

Among other countries who took part in World College Radio Day this year where the USA, Canada , Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Italy, Sweden, England, among many others.
