Soldiers and commanders in an IDF combat engineering brigade tried to hide an incident in which a soldier was seriously injured by a weapon two weeks ago.

The soldier was accidentally shot in the stomach by a comrade while they were stationed at the northern border.

The soldiers were playing with the weapon when the incident happened.

The commanders of the brigade were suspended and the platoon was closed after a paramedic who treated the soldier decided to reveal the secret.

An indictment was filed against the soldier who shot his comrade.
