An IDF artillery corps battalion commander in the Northern Command was removed from his post Wednesday under suspicion that he sexually harassed a female soldier under his command.

Military police investigators suspect the commander, at the rank of lieutenant colonel, of sexually harassing seven soldiers.

Head of the Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Gabi Eizencott decided to relieve the battalion commander of his post ahead of a prosecution decision whether to bring charges against him.
