Iran's two top opposition figures have called for a rally to mark the anniversary of the country's disputed presidential election last June, a reformist Web site said Tuesday.
The report by Kaleme.com said opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi and pro-reformist Mahdi Karroubi were urging people to take part in the rally. They have also called on pro-reform political parties to apply for permission for the gathering on June 12.
The opposition argues that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the election through fraud and that Mousavi was the rightful winner. Karroubi also ran in the election and was defeated.
