Iran passes death sentence on 'Israeli spy'

An Iranian semiofficial news agency is reporting the country has sentenced a suspect to death on a charge of spying for Israel.

The report by Mehr news agency Sunday quoted Abbas Jafari Dowlatabadi, Tehran's chief prosecutor, as saying the identity of the suspect will be announced after approval of the verdict by Iran's Supreme Court.
