The Defense Ministry on Wednesday conducted a series of tests of the Iron Dome short-range rocket defense system, developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, ahead of the planned deployment of batteries along Israel's southern border with the Gaza Strip.

The tests were carried out over the past several days and included the testing of all the different components of the Iron Dome system, including the intercepter and the unique radar.
