The Iron Dome counter-rocket defense system intercepted one of two rockets that were launched towards Ashkelon on Friday.

Earlier on Friday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak praised the successful interception by the missile defense system of three Kassam rockets fired towards the city from Gaza.
