The head of the northern faction of the Islamic Movement Raed Salah was injured during clashes between Israeli soldiers and international activists aboard one of the protest ships bound for Gaza on Monday, reported Army Radio.

Salah was evacuated from the scene and is undergoing surgery in an Israeli hospital according to the report.

A previous report on Monday erroneously listed Salah among those killed in the clashes.
