An American citizen suspected of being behind a massive tax fraud scheme was extradited from Israel to the US on Thursday. The man, Marvin Berkovitz, is suspected of defrauding US federal and state tax authorities out of millions of dollars. Berkovitz fled to Israel from the US in 2003 after being charged with several tax offenses, but he is suspected of continuing with his alleged fraudulent activities while living in Israel.
