Israeli-Palestinian conflict veering toward 'one-state reality,' says Kerry

US Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday warned of a "one-state reality that most people do not want" as transpiring in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"If the choice is one state, Israel can either be Jewish or democratic, but it cannot be both and will never truly experience peace," he said. He noted the extreme polarization in the conflict has been fueled by outside influences along with steps by both sides.

"The statue quo is leading toward one state, and constant occupation," he said, charging that the desire of the majority for a two-state solution has been swept under the rug.
