Israeli amb. to Egypt leaves Cairo without prior notice

Israeli Ambassador to Egypt Yitzhak Levanon left Egypt on Wednesday and returned to Tel Aviv neither giving a reason behind his departure nor saying when he plans to return, reported Israel Radio on Saturday citing Arab media sources.
Reports offer conflicting reasons for Levanon's departure, with some saying he left Cairo to consult with the Israeli government on what measures to take after Egyptian authorities last week arrested four people on suspicion of spying for Israel. Other reports have said that Levanon came to Israel to participate in a ceremony.
