A confrontation between Palestinians and Jewish settlers in the West Bank on
Friday near the Eilon Moreh settlement ended only when security forces arrived
on the scene and fired shots into the air.
Settlers said Palestinians
from the village of Azmut assaulted two local residents. The settlers in turn
requested assistance from local security forces, who arrived shortly thereafter
and fired into the air. The Palestinians however said that the shots were fired

harvest with the IDF’s civil administration.

On Friday, Palestinians and settlers blamed one another for
a fire that spread through an olive grove near Havat Gilad. Israeli and
Palestinian firefighters worked together to douse the flames.
