J'lem counter-protesters douse haredim with water

Two teenagers were detained during the weekly protest on Neviim Street in Jerusalem on Saturday afternoon, when extremist haredim protest the desecration of Shabbat and try to close the road to traffic.
Despite the fact that the 150 haredim demonstrating spit at passing cars and disobeyed police orders by attempting to block traffic, the two people detained were not haredim. Police detained two secular counter-protesters who drove by and sprayed water at the demonstrating haredim, calling their actions a “provocation.” The two secular teenagers were brought to the Lev HaBira station for questioning.
