Jerusalem police significantly raised the terror alert in the country's capital on Sunday afternoon following intelligence that pointed to a possible a terrorist attack in the city.

Police said that had strengthened police patrols and were checking cars and suspicious persons. The extra security checks caused major delays and traffic jams. Highway 443 experienced more than 10 km of delays.
