"We can't negotiate with people who don't recognize our right to exist," said MK Majallie Whbee (Kadima) at Tuesday's Knesset emergency meeting to discuss the security situation in the South.

Whbee quoted an Arab proverb, "When you hit, make it hard enough to hurt, when you feed, make it enough to satisfy."

"The people we bitterly need to fight, we turned into a partner. Why is this government showing weakness when the whole Arab world is going crazy? Since 2001 everyone has spoken to Hamas - we shouldn't speak with Hamas!" he asserted.
