Karl Rove, former strategist for ex US president George Bush accused US President Barack Obama on Sunday of having an "enemies list" and degrading the office he holds by launching misleading attacks on conservative groups.

During an interview with "Fox News Sunday," Rove was asked to respond to charges that he was involved in a fraud case bankrolling shadowy conservative groups before the November elections. Rove insisted that he is not guilty of the charges.

He charged Obama with taking a play from the Nixon playbook by "tossing out baseless charges."
