More than 15,000 people participated in the Tel Aviv Marathon Friday morning, Army Radio reported. Race winner Jospat Kikenboy, hailing from Kenya, finished the full marathon (42 kilometers) in two hours and 19 minutes.
Throughout the course of the race, one person was seriously injured as a result of heat stroke, and five hurt themselves lightly. Magen David Adom teams were present at the race to ensure safety for the runners, and treated those injured.
