Knesset to Aharonovitch, Yishai: Ease gun permit laws

September 14, 2010 14:18

The Knesset's Internal Affairs committee on Tuesday proposed that Interior Minister Eli Yishai and Minister of Public Security Yitzhak Aharonovitch change the regulations concerning gun permits for Judea and Samaria residents and ease the criteria for receiving a permit, Israel Radio reported.

The committee asked Aharonovitch to report on the steps he will take to make the changes and to investigate why Itzhak Ames, who was killed two weeks ago in the Kiryat Arba terror attack, had his gun license revoked.
