Kouchner calls for IAEA ruling on Iran deal

The International Atomic Energy Agency must first rule on Iran's agreement to send its uranium fuel to Iran for enrichment, AFP quoted French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner as saying on Monday.

"It's not up to us to respond, it's up to theInternational Atomic Energy Agency," said Kouchner.

The agreement dictates that Iran will ship 1,200kilograms of lightly enriched uranium to Turkey by the end of the month andreceive 120 kilograms of fuel for its Teheran researchreactor within a year.
