New Yesh Atid party leader Yair Lapid blasted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in his first every interview as a politician on Channel 2 Tuesday night.

"Netanyahu abandoned Israel's most important and complicated issue: The Israeli-Palestinian conflict," Lapid said.

"Netanyahu decided to throw responsibility for it to our children instead of solving it himself. This is irresponsible."

Lapid did not rule out joining a future Netanyahu-led government and future political cooperation with former Kadima head Tzipi Livni.
