Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday that if the Palestinians are serious about reaching a peace agreement, the important of the American freeze plan document is less important than the need to continue direct negotiations, Israel Radio reported.

According to Lieberman it [continuing direct negotiations] is in the interest of the Palestinians, just as it is in the interest of Israel and any unilateral decision the Palestinians make may cause damage to the negotiations.
