Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman expressed satisfaction at the Citizenship Bill's passing in the Knesset this week, saying: "We proved that we are fulfilling our promises to Yisrael Beiteinu voters," Army Radio reported.
The law authorizes courts to revoke citizenship for those found guilty of treason or espionage.
Lieberman also said that he is convinced that his faction will succeed in passing a contentious IDF conversions bill, the legislation of which as been stalled due to disagreements about the law that arose within the coalition.
