Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman gave his Spanish counterpart Miguel Moratinos a copy of Israel’s response to the UN Secretary General regarding the Goldstone report Monday and said that “Israel is a democratic country that defends it citizens according to international law. The IDF is the most moral army in the world and this can be seen especially with its dealings with the worst sort of terrorists - when the IDF has done everything possible in order to not harm innocent civilians while Hamas uses them as human shields.”

Avigdor Lieberman also told Moratinos that “we hope to work together with Spain during its tenure as President of the European Union.”
