Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman welcomed Canada's sanctions against Iran in a letter to his counterpart, Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon.

"The prohibition on investments in Iran sends a clear message to Iran," said Lieberman, "that it cannot expand its economy if it insists on continuing the nuclear program."
