Transportation Minister Israel Katz (Likud) responded on Thursday to the US announcement that it would work with the Palestinian transitional government.

"Did you forget the Twin Towers and the wave of terrorism in Europe?" he said. "The ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood and the global Jihad is clear, to destroy the West and impose Sharia law."

He added that this is "just like the Arab Spring: We stand alone until the rest of the world understands."
