Livnat calls US govt t

The current US administration is "terrible," according to a statement made on Thursday evening by Culture Minister Limor Livnat (Likud). "The White House isn't what it used to be," she said, going on to suggest that US President Barack Obama was "more uncompromising" than his predecessors. Kadima MK Yoel Hasson criticized what he termed the culture minister's "strange, miserable words," adding that Livnat "apparently still hasn't realized that she is a minister in the government of Israel." Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's office stated that Livnat's comments "do not represent the prime minister's position in any way," adding that the prime minister "has expressed his appreciation for the courageous alliance between Israel and the US, which has continued full force during the Obama administration."
