Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat on Sunday was attempting to resolve the scheduling problem wherein the Euroleague Final Four game is set to take place on the eve of Yom Hazikaron.

Maccabi chairman Shimon Mizrahi raised the issue with Euroleague chiefs during the draw for the Top 16 at the start of January, but no change was made, and the organizers now find themselves in a bind as Tel Aviv has ruled out any possibility of playing on Yom Hazikaron.

Livnat was in discussions Sunday morning with Mizrahi and the two agreed to meet again in the coming days.
